The results for JEE Main 2021 session 4 for BTech is out and along with it the National Testing Agency (NTA) has also announced the category-wise cut-off scores for JEE Advanced 2021. The registration date has also been revised.
- This year’s cut-offs are less than the previous three-year in all categories. JEE Main 2021 cut-off, for appearing in JEE Advanced 2021, is 87.8992241 for general category, which is less compared to 90.3765335 last year and 89.7548849 in 2019.
- Registrations for the JEE Advanced exam have started at the official website. The last date to apply is September 20 till 11.59pm, while candidates can pay their application fees till September 21 (8pm). Earlier, the application process and application fee window was scheduled to close at 5pm.
- The top 2.5-lakh students who have qualified in JEE Main can apply for the exams. JEE Main cut-offs depend on several factors, including total candidates taking the exam and availability of seats at the participating institutions, the difficulty level of the questions and the previous year’s admission trends.
- JEE Advanced is conducted to give admissions to top engineering institutes - the Indian Institute of Technologies (IITs). The exam consists of two papers and the total duration of the JEE Advance exam is three hours for both papers.
- After JEE Advanced 2021 results, the JoSAA counselling process will begin for admission to IITs, NITs and other institutions and JEE Main qualified candidates can apply for NITs, IIITs, and other technical institutions.
