UPSC releases IES/ISS exam schedule; tests begin October 16

The UPSC Indian Economic Services/Indian Statistical Services (IES/ISS) exam schedule has been released by the Union Public Service Commission on its official website. As per the schedule, the examination will be conducted from October 16 to 18. One can find the detailed schedule here.

The medium of examination will be in both English and Hindi, which will be conducted in two shifts – 9 am to 12 noon and 2 pm to 5 pm following all the guidelines by the Ministry of Health amid the COVID-19 crisis. The admit card for the same will be released at least 15 days prior to the examination.

For the UPSC ISS exam, Statistics I and II papers will consist of multiple-choice questions (MCQs). Whereas, Statistics III and IV will be subjective-type questions having short/long answers. All the papers of statistics will carry 200 marks each. Whereas, general English and general studies will carry 100 marks each.

For the UPSC IES exam, papers of general economics and Indian economics will carry 200 marks each and general English and general studies will carry 100 marks each.
